Cahir House Hotel is described as the jewel in the centre of the heritage town of Cahir. It offers visitors modern facilities, such as free wireless internet, with the luxury of old world charm. Generations have used the hotel as a resting point on their journey since the time of the Bianconi horse drawn carriages in the 1800s.
Our bar, named after Tipperary’s most famous equestrian family, the O’Briens, is the most popular place in town with live music every weekend and friendly bar staff to ensure a great time is had by all.
Though newly decorated, the wood panelling, snugs and lighting give it an old world feel.
There is an additional library bar area with comfortable armchairs for those who prefer a quiet drink.

Cahir House Hotel stands in the town square which overlooks one of Ireland’s largest and best-preserved medieval castles dating from the thirteenth century. To the rear of the hotel is the River Suir, world-renowned for its wild brown trout fishing. There is a scenic woodland walk along the river which brings visitors to the spectacular Swiss Cottage and popular 18 hole Cahir Park Golf Club.
