An Spailpín Fanach (the Migrant Worker) was founded in 1779 across the street from the Beamish & Crawford Brewery (which is scheduled to cease production in March 2009). It is a traditional Irish bar offering live music every night and is “a lovely soothing place with low ceilings, exposed brick walls, flagstone floors, fireplaces, a simple wooden bar and woven rush seats”. (Quote from Frommers Ireland 2009). Its cosy, lively atmosphere makes it popular with tourists and locals alike. Our function room caters for 180 people. Traditional Foods such as Irish stew, bacon and cabbage, among lots of other dishes served 12.00pm – 3.00pm.
